The 'handing over the house keys' ceremony was a wonderful way to celebrate the completion of Northern Virginia's first foreclosed property through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Congressman Moran, Mayor William Euille, Rebuilding Together President/CEO Gary Officer, and many others attended. The new family is moving into a home that received many energy-efficient upgrades.

Gather a team of volunteers and help us repair and make energy-efficient upgrades to in-need homeowners' homes on April 24, 2010. Perhaps you will be the volunteer to give Mr. Johnson a walk-in bathtub, or on the team that replaces the cabinets in Ms. Robinson's kitchen, maybe you will be the donor that helps to pay for the Walker's much needed attic insulation and weatherization, reducing their monthly utility bills. There is so much to be done!
Without the services of Rebuilding Together Alexandria, there are few options available to residents to keep their homes safe, warm and dry. With the help of volunteers we preserve home ownership by maintaining the most affordable housing for our neighbors--their own homes.
Please complete a form today and send it in! We need skilled and not-as-skilled volunteers.

Bill Kehoe has been a Team Leader for Rebuilding Together for many years. Being a volunteer fire fighter, Bill brings great safety expertise to volunteers at the work sites, too. Thank you Bill for all that you do!
